Born and raised equal, in Cape Town South Africa, Shona is currently a student at the National University of Ireland, Galway studying for a Master’s in Public Advocacy and Activism.

Her blog shares personal opinion on the effectiveness and impact of campaigns which are aimed at supporting gender-based violence, gender equality, women’s rights and children’s rights. Shona has spent 15 years working in the Middle East and is passionate about the empowerment of women in the workplace, at home, and within their communities. In 2016, she travelled to Uganda and supported learning and skills development within existing women and girl’s community groups. She studied Charity Law, Trusteeship and Governance through the Law Society of Ireland, 2016 and established Querencia Foundation, LLC (Uganda) for girl’s education in 2017.
